Recently I’ve been into foundation.. I’ve bought so many new ones to try. I’m kinda on the hunt to find my faves. (Spoiler alert, might have found my fave).
When I was buying this foundation I was shocked to not be the palest shade there, I picked up the lightest shade (Snow) and the Too Faced worker advised me that it was too pale, and matched me up with the shade ‘Swan’.
Does anyone else have trouble with throwing away pretty makeup boxes? Same.. the box for this foundation was matte pink and just looked gorgeous.. Anyways, this foundation has a really nicely made bottle, the ‘TF’ on the lid added a cute touch and I love the way it looks in my drawer.
ANYWAYS let’s get onto the important bit.
Upon swatching this colour on my hand I was kiiinda scared. It looked too dark in comparison in my hand, too yellow. That was until I applied it to my face. It glided like a dolphin in water, and the shade blended in perfectly. It was that moment I realised, I’m not as pale as I thought. The satin finish is stunning, almost dewy. Shade-wise, seamless.
The formula is also the best, I have trouble finding a foundation that doesn’t fade away or go cakey on my combo-skin. I may have found my holy grail! From my colour match to the formula, I’m blown away. It’s a medium coverage foundation that doesn’t feel heavy, and has a satin matte natural finish.
I have kinda dry skin which is oily in areas and I found this foundation to be perfect, just for reference if you were wondering!
Was it worth the hefty £29 price tag? I have to say yes. A little goes along way, the shade is perfect and the quality is fab. I have worn this for 3 days and thoroughly checked and it doesn’t break me out.
What’s your fave high end foundation?
