This year has grown to be a year of development for me, experiencing new things, changing bad habits and continuing with old hobbies I no longer had time for.
I thought sharing my growth could inspire you to make changes in your life, whether it’s a long term goal or short.
Firstly, as mentioned I have gotten back into blogging! I realised I had no hobbies apart from watching YouTube and Netflix.. which isn’t very creative of me..
My best outlet is writing, art or doodling. So when I didn’t have an outlet I felt quite lost…
I woke up and decided to go to a stationary store, buy a gorgeous pad to draw in and some stationary to get me going. I truly had a great time doodling and listening to old Paramore when I got home!
What I’m trying to say is, if you have an old outlet or hobby, such as sport or blogging and you want to grow as a person I would definitely recommend you make the time for yourself to find a hobby or continue with one.
A very mediocre but amazing change I made that impacted me greatly was sorting out my sleeping pattern. I had so many all-nighters trying to fix it but I finally got into a good routine, and I’ve discovered I am a morning person! Waking up, having hours to catch up on YouTube and spending time to chill out before the day ahead me is fab. Also it makes me so much more productive (as i’m at uni) and before I know it, it’s 2pm and I have completed everything I need to do for the day.
Lastly I had quite a unsuccessful job interview the other day. This was due to the dodgy circumstances around the job which left it feeling a bit of a ‘scam’. I won’t get into it.
But the experience of preparing for the interview, making a leaflet for the boss to look over and travelling on my own to a place I’ve never been was a new challenge! The outcome wasn’t the best but I’m happy to of made the effort and grow from this.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the year and seeing what it brings, I’m feeling alot more optimistic and not as down as I used to be.
What positive things have happened so far for you in 2018? I’d be interested to read!
