First Impressions; Maybelline Satin Foundation

I was in need of a new foundation and I really wanted to try the Maybelline fit me because I’ve heard so many good things, so when I went to pick it up it was sadly sold out.

I decided to go for the Maybelline Satin Liquid instead, in the lightest shade Porcelain.
This foundation was £7.99 from Superdrug.

The next day I put this on to go to college and I immediately noticed it wasn’t the right shade. I’m suuuper pale and this looked too dark, and orange on me.

I was so disappointed because the finish was gorgeous. It made me look flawless and airbrushed! I’d say if you can find your right shade definitely pick this up because it has a perfect formula, it’s a shame it didn’t work out for me.

Have you tried this, will you? Has it worked out for you?

  2. I use this foundation in porcelain at the moment but it is also too dark on me. I mix it with Maybelline super stay better skin in light beige to lighten it. 🙂

  3. I tried this and also in the same shade you bought too. I hated this foundation a lot 😦 I thought it would be so good but for me it wasn’t. It was extremely dark on my skin and very orange (I’m also very pale). It made my face feel caked and very greasy too! The foundation I’m loving at the moment though is the LO’real True Match foundation!

  4. omg I share you’re frustration. I eventually weaned myself off high street foundations because I too am super super pale (ffs) and eveything was too orangey. I’ve started using No7 which is a great shade match but a little bit too expensive for me. Keep me updated when you get to review a foundation that’s better suited to paler skin!
